Car boot sales at the Rose hotel Faliraki

The car boot sales at the Rose Hotel in Faliraki are a regular date on most peoples' calendars, whether they are buying or selling or just being sociable! The local Bulgarian and Albanian communities provide a faithful clientele who turn up at the crack of dawn to catch the best of wares as they are unpacked from the cars! As the morning progresses to a slightly more reasonable hour the European residents from all over the island start to filter in, usually with a few pets in tow! The popularity of the car boot sales has remained steady over the last few years with several other venues now opening up in the north of the island. However the Rose is undoubtedly the busiest and probably the most lucrative for sellers due to the aforementioned customers. Add the fact that it is sheltered and offers toilets and a cafe and you can see why it has been a recipe for success.

For those of you who dont know what a car boot sale is, it's very simple. All those things piled up in the back of your cupboards or storerooms that you don't want or need but don't know what to do with? That's what you sell at the car boot sale. You pack it all in the back of your car, stick a plastic table on the top and set your alarm clock for very early o'clock. When you arrive you set up your ‘stall’ and wait for the customers to peruse your wares! Expect strong bargaining and try to keep prices low if you really want to get rid of everything. Expect to pay 5 euros for your parking space if you are setting up a stall. If you are just visiting park your car outside the venue, entrance is free.

All dates and venues will be displayed on the News page.
